Great Reaction to Did It Myself ABC123

The response to “Did It Myself ABC123″ has been great.  Check it out:

From www.gamerpops.com:

“If you have a DSi, and you have a child between the ages of 2-5, spend the 200 points to download this game for them. You’ll be rewarded with a fun and educational game that may easily represent the best and most family-friendly $2 you will ever spend on a video game.”

From www.nintendolife.com

“The presentation is spectacular, with bright, attractive colours and a smooth, charming style of illustration similar to that of a children’s book.” and it’s “…the next best thing to Sesame Street that you can get for 200 DSi Points.”

Finally, we received an email from Candice, Mother of Giovanni age 3 and Aria age 1 who said: “Thank you so much for this ABC123 game:) it’s perfect and well needed… Giovanni will be 3 in November and is really getting the hang of things fast and Aria loves the xylophone and to draw.”

Did It Myself ABC123 Available Monday on Nintendo DSiWare

August 06th, 2010 | Category: Did It Myself ABC123,PHG Publishes,Powerhead

Got a Pre-K kid and a DSi?  We’ve got the activity-toy-game-thing for you!

We’ve just announced our next original game: “Did It Myself ABC123″ for Nintendo DSiWare.  It will be available for download on Monday, August 9th for 200 Nintendo DSi Points.

On a personal note, the whole process of building a game with my son has been an amazing experience.  If we had better PR, we’d be talking about the crossroads of technology and curiosity and all that.  Hopefully I’ll think of something eventually.

We tried to cover all the edu-game bases of letters, colors, counting (cardinality!), music, and art.  (You can even save your doodles to your Nintendo DSi Album and share them with friends.)

Check out the rest of the post for the official press release.  And, check out the official website for more screenshots.
